About Elections Archive
Elections Archive is building a complete election data archive for India — Lok Sabha, Vidhan Sabha, and party-based results — so citizens, researchers, and journalists can explore democracy with clarity. Reliable. Transparent. Non-Partisan.
What we cover
- Lok Sabha — general election results from 1951 to 2024 are available now (seats, vote share, margins, turnout, maps).
- Vidhan Sabha — state assembly election results are live ( browse by state), with year hubs, maps, and constituency boards.
- Party performance — dedicated party pages and cross-election comparisons so you can track national and regional parties over time.
Sources
Results originate from the Election Commission of India. Structured pages are derived from curated election data loaded into SQLite at build time. This is an archive product — not a live counting dashboard.
Current limitations
- Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha routes are live today; dedicated party hubs are rolling out next.
- Map geometry follows available SVG paths; some constituencies may be unmatched after delimitation changes. Match counts appear on map pages.
- Alliance groupings are curated seed files (starting with 2024) where provided.
- Historical party abbreviations and seat counts reflect source data as structured.
Metrics
Seats, vote share, margin, and turnout mean the same thing at national, state, party, and constituency levels wherever the source provides them.
